The SSC CGL 2024 question paper was not officially published, so this page does not host it. Instead it has a clearly labelled mock paper with original questions modelled on the reported 2024 pattern, plus a timed attempt plan and an error-log routine. Why this year matters
SSC CGL 2024 still sits close to the current pattern. Use it after the newest year so you are not learning process and content on the same day. Speed with accuracy is the game. Tag silly misses ruthlessly; they repeat on SSC papers.
Count attempts and accuracy by section. A high raw score with a failed sectional cut-off is still a fail in the real exam.
Paper analysis
Snapshot of SSC CGL 2024
Modern CGL speed paper. GA current + static mix; silly Quant misses are expensive.
2024 should feel close to the newest paper in structure. If it feels wildly easier or harder, check whether you changed attempt strategy, not only content knowledge.
What this paper stresses
- GA current + static mix that coaching dumps mis-weight.
- Quant silly misses at high attempt rates.
- Shift normalisation anxiety that wrecks accuracy.
- English error patterns that repeat every year.
What to extract before you move on
- GA static lists that actually appeared (not the 200-page PDF).
- Quant chapters producing silly misses.
- English error rules worth a one-page sheet.
- Attempt-rate targets per section under current negatives.
How 2024 sits next to other years
Stack 2024 beside SSC CGL 2025, SSC CGL 2023, SSC CGL 2022. Shared misses across these years are your real syllabus debt.
Analyst note: The conducting body did not publish the SSC CGL 2024 paper. The mock below is original practice in the reported pattern; treat coaching “memory-based” papers as unofficial reconstructions.
SSC CGL 2024 Tier-I mock paper (modelled on candidate reports)
SSC has not released CGL question papers publicly since the exam moved online: from 2016 the question paper and key are shown only inside each candidate's login for a few days, and SSC's notices describe the saved copy as for personal use. The ssc.gov.in 'Previous Year Question Paper' page holds only a 2011 generic model paper, so there is no official 2024 paper to host. This original 20-question mini-paper is modelled on candidate and coaching analyses of the computer-based Tier-I held from 9 to 26 September 2024.
What candidates reported about 2024
- Tier-I was a computer-based test held from 9 to 26 September 2024, with several shifts each day.
- 100 questions worth 200 marks in 60 minutes, 25 per section, with 0.50 mark deducted per wrong answer.
- Most shifts were rated easy to moderate, with estimated overall good attempts of about 72 to 87.
- General Awareness again had the fewest good attempts (roughly 16 to 21); analysts noted many statement-based questions, a large static GK share (polity, history, culture) and current affairs on sports and awards.
- Reasoning featured coding-decoding, direction sense, blood relations, classification and number series.
- Quantitative Aptitude was calculation-heavy in some shifts: data interpretation, time and work, simple and compound interest, HCF-LCM, algebra and trigonometry.
- English drew on cloze tests, comprehension, active-passive voice and synonyms/antonyms, and was rated easy in many shifts.
Suggested time: 12 minutes. Practice set of 20 questions, 5 from each section (the real Tier-I had 100 questions, 25 per section, in 60 minutes); allow about 12 minutes. Each correct answer earns 2 marks and 0.50 mark is deducted for each wrong answer; unattempted questions carry no penalty. Sections are in the real exam's order; there was no sectional time limit in Tier-I.

Meera walks 6 km towards the north, turns right and walks 8 km, then turns right again and walks 12 km. How far and in which direction is she from her starting point?
- 10 km, South-East
- 10 km, North-East
- 14 km, South-East
- 8 km, East
Answer and explanation
Answer: A (10 km, South-East)
Take the start as (0, 0). After 6 km north she is at (0, 6). Turning right faces east: 8 km takes her to (8, 6). Turning right again faces south: 12 km takes her to (8, −6). Distance = √(8² + 6²) = √100 = 10 km, and she is east and south of the start, i.e. South-East.

Quantitative Aptitude
Data interpretation
The table shows the number of air coolers sold by a shop in four months.
| Month | Units sold |
|---|---|
| January | 240 |
| February | 300 |
| March | 270 |
| April | 330 |
What is the average number of units sold per month over the four months?
- 280
- 285
- 290
- 295
Answer and explanation
Answer: B (285)
Total = 240 + 300 + 270 + 330 = 1140. Average = 1140 ÷ 4 = 285.
By what percentage did sales in April exceed sales in March?
- 20%
- 25%
- 18 2/11%
- 22 2/9%
Answer and explanation
Answer: D (22 2/9%)
Increase = 330 − 270 = 60. Percentage = 60 ÷ 270 × 100 = 200/9 = 22 2/9%. (18 2/11% would be 60 as a share of 330.)
A can finish a piece of work in 12 days and B in 18 days. They work together for 4 days, after which A leaves. In how many more days will B finish the remaining work?
- 6
- 7
- 8
- 9
Answer and explanation
Answer: C (8)
Together per day: 1/12 + 1/18 = 3/36 + 2/36 = 5/36. In 4 days: 20/36 = 5/9. Remaining = 4/9. B alone needs 4/9 × 18 = 8 days.
What is the difference between the compound interest (compounded annually) and the simple interest on ₹8,000 at 10% per annum for 2 years?
- ₹40
- ₹80
- ₹160
- ₹800
Answer and explanation
Answer: B (₹80)
SI = 8000 × 10 × 2 ÷ 100 = ₹1,600. Amount with CI = 8000 × 1.1² = ₹9,680, so CI = ₹1,680. Difference = ₹80 (check: P × r² = 8000 × 0.01 = 80).
The product of two numbers is 2160 and their HCF is 12. What is their LCM?
- 120
- 144
- 180
- 216
Answer and explanation
Answer: C (180)
HCF × LCM = product of the numbers, so LCM = 2160 ÷ 12 = 180.

How to sit SSC CGL 2024
- Work through the mock paper above under exam timing. It follows the reported pattern, but the questions are our own.
- Sit the paper under current brochure rules (timers, negatives, NAT/MSQ norms), even if 2024’s interface looked different.
- When the clock ends, stop. Review should take at least as long as the attempt.
- Fill the error log the same day: section, topic, and miss type (concept, silly, time, or misread).
- Next session, repair only logged items. Then pick another year from the decade list.

FAQ
Where can I download the official SSC CGL 2024 question paper?
The conducting body did not release it publicly. This page has a clearly labelled mock paper modelled on candidate reports instead.
What does the SSC CGL 2024 paper analysis include?
A year snapshot, what the paper stresses, what to extract into your error log, and how 2024 compares with neighbouring years on this hub.
How should I practise the SSC CGL 2024 previous year paper?
Open the official PDF, sit it timed under current brochure rules, fill an error log the same day, read the paper analysis, then move to another year in the decade list.
Is SSC CGL 2024 still useful if I finished newer papers?
Yes. Recent years sharpen timing; stack them after a same-day review of each attempt.
Are memory-based SSC CGL 2024 papers reliable?
Treat memory-based sets as interim. Reconcile contested items with official keys or response sheets when the conducting body publishes them.
Where is the SSC CGL syllabus and pattern for this paper?
See the SSC CGL syllabus & pattern page on this hub, and always re-check the latest official brochure before exam day.
