Why this year matters

RRB NTPC 2021 is your calibration paper: same-day review matters more than chasing a vanity score. Speed with accuracy is the game. Tag silly misses ruthlessly; they repeat on SSC papers.

Count attempts and accuracy by section. A high raw score with a failed sectional cut-off is still a fail in the real exam.

Paper analysis

Snapshot of RRB NTPC 2021

Useful GA static + current mix year.

As the newest RRB NTPC paper on this hub, 2021 is your primary difficulty benchmark. Score it cold, then rebuild confidence with a slightly older year rather than jumping into random mocks.

What this paper stresses

  • Quant silly misses at high attempt rates.
  • Shift normalisation anxiety that wrecks accuracy.
  • English error patterns that repeat every year.
  • GA current + static mix that coaching dumps mis-weight.

What to extract before you move on

  • Quant chapters producing silly misses.
  • English error rules worth a one-page sheet.
  • Attempt-rate targets per section under current negatives.
  • GA static lists that actually appeared (not the 200-page PDF).

How 2021 sits next to other years

After you log 2021, move to RRB NTPC 2020, RRB NTPC 2019, RRB NTPC 2018 to see which weaknesses were paper-specific versus systemic.

Analyst note: The RRBs did not publish the RRB NTPC 2021 paper. The mock below is original practice in the reported pattern; treat coaching “memory-based” papers as unofficial reconstructions.

RRB NTPC 2021 mock paper (modelled on CEN 01/2019 CBT-1, phases 2–7, January–July 2021)

This is a mock paper we wrote. The official 2021 paper was never released. The conducting body has not published it. These 24 questions are original, written by previousyearquestions.app to match what candidates and exam analyses reported about the 2021 exam: section mix, topics and difficulty. Use it to practise the pattern. The questions themselves are not from the real exam.

Most CBT-1 sessions of CEN 01/2019 were held in 2021, in phases 2 to 7, ending on 31 July 2021. The question papers, responses and keys were released only through candidate logins (from 16 August 2021, with objections until 23 August) and no official public copy remains, so this is an original mock for the 2021 phases, with current affairs up to mid-2021.

What candidates reported about 2021

  • CBT-1 ran in seven phases from 28 December 2020 to 31 July 2021; phases 2 to 7 fell in 2021, with phase sizes falling from about 27–28 lakh candidates to under 3 lakh.
  • The pattern stayed at 100 questions in 90 minutes: about 40 General Awareness, 30 Mathematics and 30 General Intelligence and Reasoning.
  • Negative marking was 1/3 mark per wrong answer, and marks across sessions were normalised.
  • The answer key and response sheets went live on 16 August 2021, with objections allowed from 18 to 23 August at ₹50 per question, refunded if the objection was upheld.
  • Vacancies stood at 35,208 across 21 RRBs.
  • Mathematics followed the CEN 01/2019 syllabus, which includes algebra, geometry, trigonometry and elementary statistics along with arithmetic.

Suggested time: 22 minutes. 24 questions; allow about 22 minutes (the real CBT-1 gave 90 minutes for 100 questions). Each question carries 1 mark; 1/3 mark is deducted for every wrong answer, and unattempted questions score zero.

    3. Only I follows
    4. Neither follows
    Answer and explanation

    Answer: C (Only I follows)

The fast trains are costly, so some trains are costly (I). 'All fast things are costly' cannot be reversed into 'all costly things are fast', so II does not follow.

How to sit RRB NTPC 2021

  1. Work through the mock paper above under exam timing. It follows the reported pattern, but the questions are our own.
  2. Sit the paper under current brochure rules (timers, negatives, NAT/MSQ norms), even if 2021’s interface looked different.
  3. When the clock ends, stop. Review should take at least as long as the attempt.
  4. Fill the error log the same day: section, topic, and miss type (concept, silly, time, or misread).
  5. Next session, repair only logged items. Then pick another year from the decade list.

FAQ

Where can I download the official RRB NTPC 2021 question paper?

The RRBs did not release it publicly. This page has a clearly labelled mock paper modelled on candidate reports instead.

What does the RRB NTPC 2021 paper analysis include?

A year snapshot, what the paper stresses, what to extract into your error log, and how 2021 compares with neighbouring years on this hub.

How should I practise the RRB NTPC 2021 previous year paper?

Open the official PDF, sit it timed under current brochure rules, fill an error log the same day, read the paper analysis, then move to another year in the decade list.

Yes. Recent years sharpen timing; stack them after a same-day review of each attempt.

Are memory-based RRB NTPC 2021 papers reliable?

Treat memory-based sets as interim. Reconcile contested items with official keys or response sheets when the conducting body publishes them.

Where is the RRB NTPC syllabus and pattern for this paper?

See the RRB NTPC syllabus & pattern page on this hub, and always re-check the latest official brochure before exam day.
