Why this year matters
GATE EE 2012 (Electrical Engineering) sits in the deep archive. Use it for theme and weightage mining, not for current marking rules: the exam pattern has changed since, and the latest brochure decides what is in scope today.
Paper format
GATE 2012 EE was an offline paper conducted by IIT Delhi: 65 objective questions carrying 100 marks, answered on an Optical Response Sheet (ORS). The hosted booklet is code A.
Multiple-select (MSQ) questions arrived only in 2021, so this paper has no MSQ.
We could not find an official answer key for GATE EE 2012 in the conducting body’s archives, so none is hosted here.
These files are Internet Archive captures of the conducting body’s own site. The original address of each file is listed with its download.
How to sit GATE EE 2012
- Print or open the paper for your branch and keep three hours aside.
- Sit it in one go, general aptitude plus core, without notes.
- When the clock ends, stop. Review should take at least as long as the attempt.
- Fill the error log the same day: topic and miss type (concept, silly, time, or misread).
- Next session, repair only logged items. Then pick another year from the list below.
