GATE EC 2024 was a mixed paper: 39 MCQ, 8 MSQ, 18 NAT. 18 of 65 questions (28%) were typed-answer NATs, and only MCQs lose marks for a wrong answer.
Multiple-select questions (MSQ): 8. An MSQ scores only if every correct option, and no wrong one, is chosen, so each one needs its own option audit.
Against GATE EC 2023, MCQs moved by -6, MSQs by +4 and NATs by +2.
The official key marks 3 questions in EC as marks to all or MTA: every candidate is credited, so score them as correct.
